Mario Maxwell Muller has held several positions as Professor of Music and Head of the Expressive Arts Faculty. Mario's research interest includes the following: Educational Assessment, Curriculum Theory, and Comparative Education. His current research project is 'Comparative Curriculums'.

Mario Maxwell Muller has 21 Years of experience as a music educationalist and has worked in countries including England, China, Gabon, India, Mexico, South Africa, and Thailand and have given performances, lectures, and masters classes in Europe ranging from France, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, Poland, Germany, Italy, and Austria.

He has a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from Venda University, majoring in Mathematics and Music under the supervision of Professor Geoff Mapaya. He has worked in International Schools since 2006 focusing on EYFS, IPC, IMYC, MYP, GCSE (Pearson Edexcel), IGCSE (Cambridge), and IB Music (HL & SL). He has been an examiner for different institutions and continues to examine for the International Baccalaureate Programme. His research interest includes Curriculum studies, Curriculum Innovation, Curriculum Theory, and Music Education.

He has lectured and conducted master classes working with students at undergraduate and postgraduate level and is a visiting Associate Professor to the following three Universities in Asia, China.

He is an accomplished composer, performer for both piano, cello, pipe organist, accompanist, researcher, and examiner for the IB program.

His passion involves music education and has conducted several orchestras locally and internationally. He enjoys music technology, composing, and choral conducting as a choirmaster.
